The Wrestling / Martial Arts mat as manufactured by AK Athletic Equipment, Inc. has the durability required for a Martial Arts School and it is great for home or professional use! Because we are the manufacturer you are buying at the cheapest possible wholesale price.
Wrestling and Martial Arts Mat: Size 12'x 12'. Colors: red, navy blue, gray, and black.
The padding is 1 3/8" thick cross linked polyethylene foam. This is the exact same foam used by thousands of high school and college wrestling and gymnastic programs. We buy the foam in bulk and pass the savings along to you.
The mat is covered in 22 ounce vinyl that is inherently antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and will not support mildew. This is a very strong material and is almost impossible to wear out. A permanent vinyl to foam bond is achieved with a combination of flame lamination and PSA adhesives causing the vinyl to never bulge or wrinkle. .
The circles are silk screened onto the vinyl with a special gloss vinyl ink (your choice of color) that will not wear out or wash off. The circles are 3 foot and 10' in diameter.
Martial arts schools may not want the circles if they are buying multiple mats to fill an entire room. We can make mats any size to fit your room dimensions. For these situations we sew Velcro on 4 sides on the bottom of the pad. The Velcro keeps the mat from shifting and prevents spacing between the mats. Both options can be specified when ordering custom mats over the phone.

perfect for my home gym, for 2-person grapple sessions, for working on take-downs. Not the product for a working gym, perhaps: 12'x12' is too small for more than 2, and given a larger room the mats might slide with 2 people on them. The extra padding AKAthletics sent with the mats made my home gym much safer[...] I have suggested these mats for a home gym to several of the people at my kwoon (dojo, school).
